Aston Martin One-77 gets close to speed record
Aston Martin’s One-77 closed in the all time speed mark for the British supercar company as it soared past the 200 mph mark.
The One-77 hasn’t yet been put on sale, as it's under development and will be launched in 2010. The high speed testing took place at a proving ground in Southern Europe and the location has not been released. The 7.3-liter V12 hit 220 mph on one of the test runs last week, above all speed expectations for the car.
Only 77 of these beauties will be made and each will combine modern technology and design with craftsmanship and bit of England in every car. If a car could be art, then the One-77 is a masterpiece. Expect this rare piece of motoring history to be above the $1.5 million mark.
